A Teasmith Summer of Gin

Teasmith Tales

Once upon a time, in the nautical North East, towering over the raging waves of the North Sea, lived a tremendous local spirit known as The Teasmith Gin. The Teasmith was a friendly spirit, taking pride in satisfying the tastes of gin-isseurs from far and wide. Although born in a quaint little North East village named Udny, The Teasmith suffered from a strong sense of wanderlust and dreamed one day of visiting all of Aberdeenshire. Little did it know, its dreams of roaming were about to come true... Following a year of new beGIN-nings, it has been working day and night to ensure that its spirit is spot on and its tea is tasty. Always the generous type, it invites you to join it on its Aberdonian tipple travels.

Summer celebrations are all around us as Aberdeenshire nourishes the opportunity to show off its superb local produce. Down in Auchenblae, there's another par-tea for Teasmith! This one promises a range of stalls boasting produce from all around the Shire. The Teasmith is attending primarily for cream tea but will of course be pouring gin on the side. Two birds - one stone! Check it out here.

Huntly Farmers Market

Saturday 4th August, Huntly

The Huntly Farmers Market has long been a superb benefit to the area. Small-producers of all talents congregate in the Square to sell varieties of local produce, from meats and cheeses to baking and handmade soaps. The Teasmith gin will also be making an appearance to ensure those attending have a beverage to go alongside with their fresh, local produce.

Rhynie Gala

Saturday 18th August, Rhynie

A Pipe Band, inflatable slides, a craft tent, stalls, rides, Highland dancers, a yummy BBQ, a beer tent and... you guessed it, The Teasmith Gin. It is safe to say that the Teasmith has a very busy schedule this Summer. It would be best to get your hands on a bottle ASAP because at this rate, they will be flying off the shelves.

Huntly Hairst

Saturday 1st September, Huntly

The Huntly Hairst is just like the Huntly Farmers Market but on a huge scale. It is a family event and has something for everyone (including gin). The event is back this year with over 50 stalls showcasing the best and the rest of local Aberdeenshire produce. The harvest festival also hosts 'The World Stovies Championships' for those who fancy trying their hand at the famed dish.

Deeside Food Festival

Sunday 16th September, Cults Academy

The Teasmith certainly does like to get around and is even taking her junipers over to Deeside for what is bound to be a splendid day. The festival is organised by The Mixing Bowl Aberdeen and 2018's event is set to be the best yet! Amongst food and drink tastings and talks, there will be a street café and activities for the kids (so mum and dad can enjoy gin obviously).

What are your plans this Summer?
