METHOD:
ADD THE MINT LEAVES AND LIME JUICE INTO A SHAKER AND GENTLY MUDDLE. ADD THE TEASMITH GIN AND SIMPLE SYRUP WITH ICE AND SHAKE UNTIL WELL-CHILLED. DOUBLE-STRAIN INTO A CHILLED NICK AND NORA GLASS. GARNISH WITH MINT LEAVES.

METHOD:
ADD THE TEASMITH GIN, LEMON JUICE, SIMPLE SYRUP AND EGG WHITE OR FOAMER INTO A SHAKER AND DRY SHAKE (WITHOUT ICE). ADD ICE AND SHAKE AGAIN UNTIL WELL-CHILLED. DOUBLE STRAIN INTO A CHILLED ROCKS GLASS. GARNISH WITH LEMON TWIST.

INSPIRED BY LEGACY
OUR TEASMITH GIN STORY BEGINS WITH JAMES TAYLOR, AN ENTERPRISING SCOT FROM ABERDEENSHIRE WHO, IN 1867, PLANTED CEYLON’S FIRST COMMERCIAL TEA PLANTATION. HIS PIONEERING EFFORTS SHAPED SRI LANKA’S TEA INDUSTRY, EARNING HIM THE TITLE ‘FATHER OF CEYLON TEA.’
INSPIRED BY TAYLOR’S LEGACY, TEASMITH GIN FEATURES A SPECIFIC SRI LANKAN TEA AS A KEY BOTANICAL IN ITS MAKE UP. GROWN ON THE AMBA ESTATE, OUR TEA LEAVES ARE HAND-PICKED AND HAND-ROLLED IN THE SAME WAY TAYLOR PRODUCED THE VERY FIRST BATCHES OF TEA MORE THAN 150 YEARS AGO, BRINGING HISTORY AND CRAFTSMANSHIP TOGETHER IN EVERY BOTTLE.


TRADITIONALLY DISTILLED
CRAFTED IN SMALL BATCHES, TEASMITH GIN IS A TRIBUTE TO TIME-HONOURED DISTILLATION TECHNIQUES. AT OUR HIGHLAND DISTILLERY, WE USE TRADITIONAL COPPER ALEMBIC STILLS IN A METICULOUS TWO-STAGE PROCESS. THE FIRST STAGE DISTILS TEA LEAVES, GENTLY HEATED AFTER STEEPING IN ALCOHOL TO EXTRACT COMPLEX FLAVOURS. THIS CREATES A PROFILE RICH IN VANILLA, SOFT ORANGE SWEETNESS, AND EXOTIC SPICE.
THE SECOND STAGE INTRODUCES A CAREFULLY SELECTED BLEND OF CLASSIC BOTANICALS. JUNIPER BERRIES, LIQUORICE ROOT, ORANGE PEEL, CORIANDER, ANGELICA ROOT, AND GRAINS OF PARADISE INFUSE THEIR FLAVOURS DURING THE DELICATE DISTILLATION, DELIVERING TEASMITH GIN’S REFINED, BALANCED CHARACTER.
